WHAT THE HECK IS THIS SHOW ABOUT?!
THE ADVENTURES OF THE FOX IN THE FEDORA is an audio drama/narrative adventure fantasy podcast inspired by the cartoon shows of the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s (i.e. CHIP AND DALE’S RESCUE RANGERS, DUCKTALES, SPIDER-MAN THE ANIMATED SERIES). The best way to describe it is that it’s a Saturday morning cartoon that grew up with its audience, maintaining that colorful world and its equally colorful characters with cartoonish flair, but allowing them to approach the world in a more adult tone.
The story follows Fox, an anthropomorphic fox from an Earth much like our own in the real world, but populated by civilized, anthropomorphic animal people. Inheriting a fedora with a genie inside it from his late grandmother, the penniless and (mostly) street-wise Fox uses up his three wishes before the series even begins. Instead of wishing for wealth or power, he wishes to travel the multiverse and visit other Earths in search of dangerous magical artifacts. His mission is to continue the work his grandmother started and safeguard these powerful items lest they fall into the hands of would-be tyrants, greedy opportunists, sinister cults, and demonic forces bent on bringing all of creation to its knees.
He is joined by his constantly grumbling human sidekick Gary, as well as his ragtag gang of allies which include Jesse “Soviet” Windshire (another anthropomorphic fox who works as a mercenary for hire while also trying to be a good father for his young son), Andy (yet another anthropomorphic fox who is good-natured and acts as the heart of the team), and Widik Firestorm (an anthropomorphic panda with the ability to summon and control fire who also happens to have a maniacal love for explosives, but hides a dark past).
Lastly, Fox is joined romantically by Cassie Rascal, an anthropomorphic raccoon who is also a treasure hunter with magical secrets of her own. Together, they explore fascinating and perilous new worlds, trap-filled tombs and ruins, and match wits with such adversaries as the manic and wealthy shapeshifter Nigel Pennywhistle (an anthropomorphic chameleon), evil genie Zahrah (an anthropomorphic rabbit), and Jacob Corrigan (an alternate version of Fox with savant-level intellect from another universe).

Our release schedule tends to fluctuate, but when we have a new season ready (or mostly ready), we release a new episode every Monday @ 12 AM, EST unless otherwise stated on our BlueSky page
We are currently ON HIATUS until sometime in 2027, but may be planning some smaller releases sometime in 2026 if the dice of life roll in our favor. Currently, however, we have three seasons (a total of 32 produced episodes) available. If anyone wants to help us make the dice of life roll in our favor, consider joining and donating to our Patreon
Currently, the series does not have workable, edited transcripts. Our goal is to have transcripts completed by the series’ end once we have the time and finances.
THE ADVENTURES OF THE FOX IN THE FEDORA keeps to a PG, PG-13 rating. While the series reduces its use of swear words to a bare minimum, the series does contain moments of swearing, violence, fantasy violence, and intense sequences. TL; DR – If you’re old enough to watch any of the James Bond or Lord of the Rings films, you’re good to go.
